Please encourage your Representative to join Reps. Tonko, Lance, Slaughter, Clarke, Courtney, Critz, Doyle, Hanabusa, Kildee, Kucinich, Lujan, Moran, Nadler, Norton, Rangel, Schakowsky, and Stark in signing-on to this year’s letter of support for OMS funding.

“This is our chance to ask Members of Congress to take a stand in support of increased funding for the IMLS Office of Museum Services by signing this bipartisan ‘Dear Colleague’ letter,” said AAM President Ford W. Bell. “I applaud Representatives Paul Tonko, Leonard Lance, and Louise Slaughter for their continued leadership in supporting the essential role of museums in communities.”

The Office of Museum Services received just over $35 million in the FY10 funding cycle. President Obama recommends retaining current funding levels for the IMLS Office of Museum Services ($30,859,000) in his FY13 budget proposal.
