The Cafe Team Lead delivers warm hospitality and excellent food service to the guests of our unique and historic institution. This position will engage in a broad range of food service experiences with opportunities for personal and professional growth, from managing guest transactions and customer engagement in Front of House to maintaining stock and developing recipes in Back of House. The Cafe Team Lead seeks to make the cafe experience memorable through their enthusiasm for hospitality and through the creation of flavorful food that delights our guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the cafe is delivering outstanding customer service to all guests and staff.
- Accurately maintain sales transactions, especially during high volume.
- Assist with food development and production.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area ensuring food items are properly displayed and counters and tables are clean.
- Assist with properly receiving, storing, and rotating food and inventory stock.
- Other duties as assigned.
