Position Description:

This position will support the work of exhibition teams and support the design office in a wide range of needs. Work will include basic drafting, building models, doing graphic design for presentations, research and organizing the office.


Educational Objective:

Through this internship, students will learn about working in a museum design office. They will learn drafting conventions and be exposed to designing for production of exhibitions.


Under the close supervision of Exhibition Design Manager, the intern will learn about and gain direct experience in:


  • CAD drafting in VectorWorks
  • Graphic Design in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Preparing presentations
  • Model building
  • General office support







  • Experience with 3d design
  • Experience with CAD (vectorworks prefered)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Detail oriented
  • Model making knowledge and/or skills



While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to the following:

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
