Colorado School of Mines seeks an innovative, forward-thinking, and energetic Executive Director to lead the University’s Geology Museum in exciting new directions. The Executive Director will provide strategic vision and organizational leadership and manage all aspects of museum administration, collaborating with museum stakeholders to raise the regional, national, and international profile of the museum and craft a dynamic, interactive museum experience that fully engages today’s visitors. Key areas of responsibility include strategic expansion of the collection, donor cultivation, grant writing, and fundraising.
The Executive Director supervises a staff that includes a museum operations manager, two part-time collection managers, and student employees, as well as museum friends and volunteers. The Executive Director works closely with and reports to the University Librarian.
