POSITION SUMMARY

The Individual Giving Manager will have primary responsibility for individual gifts of $1,250 and above, setting strategy and executing fundraising plans for sustaining and growing the number of annual donors, the size of individual donations, for converting members and occasional givers to annual donors, and building a pipeline of prospective donors for the Museum's comprehensive campaign. The position will be responsible for setting and achieving revenue goals related to unrestricted individual giving.

INSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising & Administration

 

 

 

 

  • Develop and implement strategies for solicitation to grow annual revenue from individuals
  • Build a prospect portfolio and ensure the flow of prospects into the giving pipeline
  • Design and implement appeals, including Donor Forum renewals, acquisitions, and upgrades
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to advance the Museum's comprehensive campaign
  • Maintain personal contact with individual donors, including current Donor Forum members
  • Develop tailored communication strategies and engagement opportunities for donors and prospects
  • Conceptualize and ensure delivery of appropriate donor stewardship, recognition, events, and benefits
  • Partner with Donor Events Manager to conceptualize engaging and dynamic slate of events for donors
  • Support efforts to secure individual table and ticket sales for fundraising event(s)
  • Support Trustees in their cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities with individual donors
  • Develop and oversee income and expense budget for Donor Forum program
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and complete donor constituent records

 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

A level of experience that demonstrates possession of the necessary knowledge and abilities for this position is required as noted:

 

 

 

  • B.A. degree in related field preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant experience required
  • Experience working with individual solicitation programs, with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed financial goals

 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

 

 

  • Principles and practices of individual fundraising, including donor research, moves management, and donor stewardship
  • English, fluent in both spoken and written form
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms for donor engagement
  • Relational database experience; Raiser's Edge preferred
