The Western Museums Association (WMA) cordially invites you to the 2019 Annual Meeting in Boise, Idaho on October 4-7, held in partnership with the Idaho Association of Museums. While currently listed as one of the fastest-growing cities in America, the area has long been a destination in the Basque diaspora and is home to the most concentrated populations of Basque-Americans in the United States. Come to Boise with WMA and experience the rich culture of the Intermountain West!
With the theme of ENGAGE, WMA 2019 content will focus on the ways museums engage with their communities, staff, and other museums. Sessions, programs, and informal discussions will center on questions such as: How can museums engage authentically with all their various constituents? How can museums be agents of social change and justice? And how can museums engage more people by increasing diversity in their exhibits, programming, and staff/boards?
