Job Description: 

Collaborate with development staff, museum leadership and top donors to build the gift support that enables the museum to provide programs and remain free for all. This position will manage the analytical, technical and research support necessary for fundraising administration and service delivery to Manetti Shrem Museum donors. 

The ideal candidate will be able to function with a high degree of autonomy and exercise independent judgement as they work with multiple constituents including top donors and prospects, including foundations, corporations and individual donors, as well as museum volunteers and members at every level of giving. 


Additional Minimum License/Certification:        

Minimum Education/Experience: 

  • Experience designing and executing cultivation, stewardship and engagement events and programs.
  • Experience using various software programs (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, etc.) to accomplish assignments. Advanced skills in MS Office 365 Suite.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :

  • Knowledge of the principles, best practices and trends in membership and fundraising.
  • Organizational and time management skills to achieve progress on multiple simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines, and establish goals and workload priorities with flexibility and shift strategies midstream as program needs and goals shift.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including use of proper grammar, punctuation, editing and proofreading skills.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Experience in absorbing complex technical and conceptual information, identifying key issues and details, and presenting understandable alternatives, both orally and in writing, to individuals of varying technical expertise at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience developing and managing short and long-range planning and program goals.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :

  • Knowledge of and interest in the visual arts.
  • Knowledge of the principles, best practices and trends in museum membership and fundraising.
