Job Description: 

This full-time position oversees the Museum’s education program. Responds to all tour inquiries, manages tour schedule, and recruits and trains tour guides. Provides excellent and accurate customer service to internal and external customers. Works with staff to develop exhibits and education materials with attention to K-12 social studies standards. Assists with volunteer training and scheduling. Leads education team in developing and facilitating youth programs including interactive activities and special events. Tracks tour, program, and volunteer statistics.

Guides tours of the Arizona Capitol Museum and legislative buildings as needed. Assists the Sales and Visitor Service Coordinator with first floor daily operations in the gift shop, at the information desk, and other duties as assigned. Opens and closes museum as scheduled. Works occasional after-hours/weekend events.

This is not a remote position.

The Arizona Capitol Museum is located in the historic Arizona Capitol building at the center of Arizona’s state government complex. The Museum utilizes artifacts, guided interpretation, virtual resources, interactive activities, and public programs to educate visitors on Arizona's governmental, political, and social history. Offering free admission, the Museum welcomes over 100,000 visitors annually including 20,000 K-12 students.
