Job Description: 

Tempe History Museum Coordinator
The Tempe History Museum Coordinator is a prominent member of the Tempe History Museum team for successful event and program execution. The History Museum Coordinator will plan, coordinate and implement educational programs and activities, festivals and events at locations around the City of Tempe, coordinate and assist in implementing partner programs, coordinate and schedule programs, exhibits, activities and events related to museum exhibits, and administer contracts related to programs and educational services. The History Museum Coordinator recruits, trains and supervises docents and volunteers, spearheads revenue-generating activities, seeks supplemental funding sources for programs, and coordinates the preparation of marketing related to Tempe History Museum programs.

Work Experience:
Three years of experience in the organization, coordination and implementation of educational and public programs in history, arts and/or culture in museums, historic sites or cultural centers.

Education:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in history, museum studies, humanities, or a degree related to the core functions of this position.

Salary Range:
Arts & Culture Coordinator: $59,116/yr. min. - $79,807/yr. max.
