The San Bernardino County Museum offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Curator of Earth Sciences who will manage all aspects of exhibits, program development, and collections management related to the museum's paleontology and geology collection primarily from the Mojave Desert and Inland Valleys of Southern California.
The Curator of Earth Sciences will oversee preparation, preservation, and documentation related to minerals and fossils; research and develop exhibit concepts; assist the education department in curriculum and programming; assist with grant proposals; and oversee requests from researchers including literature searches.

EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Paleontology, Mineralogy, Earth and Planetary Science, or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time professional experience in earth sciences with primary responsibilities of interpretive programming, public engagement, exhibit planning/development, and managing or overseeing a collection in a museum or other public education institution.
