Job Description: 

Guide tours of the Museum and current legislative chambers to groups of 10 or more. Participate in live Q&A sessions with virtual field trip students. Monitor information desk, exhibits, and museum rotunda greeting visitors and answering questions. Staff the Gift Shop, ringing up customers and stocking merchandise. Set up chairs, tables, tech equipment, and stanchions for special events. Assist Education Coordinator in preparing handouts and exploration materials, organizing weekly schedules, confirming status of scheduled tours, and data entry. Assist with exhibit research, installations, and collections projects as needed.

This is not a remote position. Educators work a minimum of 24 hours over four to five shifts a week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am to 5pm. Full-time and part-time options available. Occasional afterhours and Saturday shifts may be required.

The Arizona Capitol Museum is located in the historic Arizona Capitol building at the center of Arizona’s state government complex. The Museum utilizes artifacts, guided interpretation, virtual resources, interactive activities, and public programs to educate visitors on Arizona's governmental, political, and social history. Offering free admission, the Museum welcomes over 100,000 visitors annually including 20,000 K-12 students.
