The University of Alaska Museum of the North is seeking a manager to oversee our Visitor Services department. Visitor Services encompasses all things relating to visitor experience at UAMN, from the friendly and knowledgeable people greeting visitors at the front desk, to the exciting movies shown in our theater, to the unique and high-quality merchandise found in the museum store. The manager is responsible for budget and asset planning for the department, marketing UAMN as one of Alaska's premiere destinations, long-range planning, and staff management. The museum is a fascinating place to work. On any given day, a 40,000 year old bison skeleton might be being assembled or a humpback whale that washed ashore could be being prepared for exhibition or artifacts from the earliest human inhabitants of the state might be being examined. The UAMN team is a tight-knit, hardworking one; please consider joining us!
