Historic Deerfield, a nationally recognized, AAM-accredited museum and historic village seeks a thoughtful, dynamic, and mission-driven President & CEO to guide the organization’s next phase of growth, visibility, and public impact. Stewarding one of the best-preserved historic villages and rural landscapes in North America, Historic Deerfield advances the understanding of American history and culture through its collections, scholarship, exhibitions, educational programs, historic houses, and public engagement initiatives.
The organization encompasses more than 50 historic structures and over 100 acres, including twelve historic houses, the Flynt Center of Early New England Life, the Deerfield Inn, and a collection of more than 55,000 objects spanning the seventeenth through twentieth centuries.
Operating budget $10 million, endowment $70 million, 25–30 Trustees, 48 full-time and 100+ part-time staff. Salary range $200,000–$275,000 plus benefits and housing.
