How would you like to attend an Progressive Party touring through Portland’s New Chinatown/Japantown Historic District? Or a fun evening event exploring the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry located on Portland’s waterfront? Or a free evening event at the Portland Art Museum?
At WMA 2022, attendees are invited to participate in many networking events and pre-conference happenings, hosted by unique and unforgettable Oregon institutions. Attendees will be able to visit the Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Pittock Mansion, Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, and Oregon Historical Society, just to name a few.
WMA 2022 will kick off with an Opening General Session & Keynote with speaker Dina Bailey, CEO of Mountain Top Vision; and will conclude days later with the Closing General Session & Panel featuring a conversation between Brian Carter, Executive Director of 4Culture, and Mike Murawski, author of Museums as Agents of Change, moderated by Lisa Sasaki, Director of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and Interim Director of the Smithsonian American Women's History Museum.
Beyond the events listed below, WMA 2022 will have many other offerings for all attendees (including our popular Speed-Networking event), which can all be found in our Preliminary Program!
