Over the course of WMA's 2024 Annual Meeting, attendees will attend a fantastic lineup of engaging and informative sessions at the headquarters hotel, and will be transported outside, into the sunny city of Tucson for a variety of networking events.
On Wednesday, Pre-Conference Tours will transpire at some of Tucon's iconic institutions including Tucson Botanical Gardens, Arizona History Museum, and a combined tour at The University of Arizona Museum of Art and the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block. There are also three Pre-Conference Workshops occuring throughout Wednesday including, Adventures in Museum Archives, Seven Core Management Skills for Museum Folks, and Harness the Techniques of Augmented Reality. While nightly, attendees will find connection at WMA’s 2024 Evening Events, starting with a the Opening Reception in the Exhibit Hall followed by a welcome to the Sonoran Desert at Tohono Chul. Additional Evening Events will invite attendees to explore the Mini Time Machine Museum of Minatures and the Presidio Museum & Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block, as well as an event at our headquarters hotel, Loew's Ventana Canyon Resort. We are pleased to announce this year there will be Morning Events throughout the conference such as Morning Rituals for an Empowering Day and Finding Balance - A Nature Walk with Mike Murawski.

In addition to these outside gatherings, attendees will have opportunities to experience the annual Poster Session, Activity Stations, Roundtable Discussions, and other social functions at the hotel. More information on these can be found below or in our Preliminary Program!
