Boise Art Museum seeks a Curator of Art to serve as a thought partner and change agent through envisioning, scheduling, organizing, designing, and managing the Museum's art exhibitions in fulfillment of the Museum's mission. The Curator of Art enhances the educational role of the institution through the presentation and interpretation of original works of art, including the Museum's Permanent Collection as well as originated exhibitions and borrowed exhibitions. 3-5 years of full-time curatorial experience, including project management, at an established art museum. Competency with desktop computer, presentation software, and spreadsheet software. Effective communication and presentation skills. At least 2 years of personnel management experience.
Master's degree in art history, or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should excel at working in an intellectually stimulating and dynamic educational organization, and must have flexibility to work occasionally on the weekend, an evening, or a holiday as necessary.
Starting Salary Range
$60,000 - $65,000
