Boise Art Museum seeks a Curator of Art to serve as a thought partner and change agent through scheduling, organizing, designing, managing, and installing the Museum’s art exhibitions in fulfillment of the Museum’s mission. The Curator of Art enhances the educational role of the institution through interpretation of original works of art including the Museum’s Permanent Collection, with labels, catalogues, and other materials.
Minimum Qualifications 3-5 years of full-time curatorial experience, including project management, at an established museum. Competency with desktop computer, presentation software, spreadsheet software. Effective communication and presentation skills. At least two (2) years of personnel management experience. Master’s degree in art history, or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should excel at working in an intellectually stimulating and dynamic educational organization, and must have flexibility to work occasionally on weekends, an evening, or holiday as necessary.
