Since 1997, our Annual Meeting has featured a Silent Auction in the Exhibit Hall. Proceeds from the auction benefit the Wanda Chin Scholarship program, which helps fund participation and travel to the Annual Meeting by professionals who might otherwise not be able to attend. Scholarships are available to members of the field at the student, incoming professional and mid-career professional levels. The Scholarship program is a vital component of our mission. Submission deadline is June 1, 2012.

Each year, the Western Museums Association honors one exhibit and one individual through our awards program:

The Charles Redd Award, underwritten by the Charles M. Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University, honors an excellent exhibition illuminating the American West. Submission deadline is July 15, 2012.

The Directors' Chair Award honors a member of our field who has had a significant and lasting impact on museum practices or the museum profession in the Western Region. Submission deadline is July 15, 2012.
