We’re thrilled to announce Cinnabar as a WMA sponsor!
Founded in 1982 with roots in the entertainment industry, Cinnabar California, Inc. has become a vanguard of integrating innovative new approaches to the process and production of award-winning museum exhibitions. Its team of creative thinkers and artisan builders are true pioneers at amalgamating sustainability considerations into all facets of the fabrication process – servicing museums and cultural institutions across the US and abroad.
If you’ve been to a museum exhibit in the past decade, then chances are, you’ve seen the signature work of Cinnabar’s design-build services. As the primary exhibitions contractor for three of the four exhibitions located on the 2nd floor West Galleries of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, – Concourse, American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith, and Many Voices, One Nation – Cinnabar’s extent of the project included everything from lighting and audiovisual integration to object mounts and gallery finishes.
Back on the West coast, Cinnabar provided fabrication and installation of the permanent exhibit, Giants of Land and Sea at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. Cinnabar’s creative fabricators helped to install the exhibit displays, casework, and graphics, as well as structures and physical interactives including a 4-ton cross-section of an 800-year-old redwood tree, and an earthquake simulator.
Whether your museum is in need of exhibit design, development, or production with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, then Cinnabar is the fabricator to go to.
WMA is thrilled to have Cinnabar as a WMA Partner.
